Kaparot with money

Kaparot is traditionally performed on the morning before Yom Kippur. Participants may use $18, $36, $54, or another multiple of Chai according to their means. The money is then donated to support community members in need.

Kaparot envelopes are available at the synagogue, and donations may also be made online.

Yom Kippur Children’s Program

September 20 & 21 · Activities throughout the holiday

Prayer and activities about the meaning of the holiday, an Israeli-style Yom Kippur experience, and games for all ages. A nursery room with a babysitter is available for younger children. Meals and snacks will be provided for children throughout the day.
